Seven choices for the founding members

The open choices from our first call, one card each, so we can come to next week's call with answers. Each card has a proposal from Axel's notes: a starting point for the discussion, not something that was agreed. Pick an option on each card, then copy your reply into the group.

How this works

  • Read the summary first. The meeting summary has what was decided, who does what, and the options as they were said on the call. This page only asks the open questions.
  • Pick, then copy. Choose an option on each card. The bar at the bottom writes your reply, for example ENTRi founders: recommendations except 1C 3B, where recommendations means the proposals on this page. Press Copy and paste it into the group.
  • Proposals, not decisions. The tag Recommended marks Axel's proposal. Nothing on this page is decided until the group decides it, on the call or in the chat.
  • Figures are as said. Every number on this page is as said on the call, not verified.

PricingNext week's call

How should the membership price grow?

B

The site shows a ladder: the first hundred members pay 100 a year for life, members 101 to 200 pay 200, then 300 and so on. On the call the first-year budget only reached about zero with the first hundred members, and offline events did not fit. The goal named: price it so that the Club does not depend on new members.

first hundred × 100 = 10k a year, as saidevents did not fit the first-year budget
Options for decision 1

Why BProposal: it keeps the 100-a-year promise for the very first members and closes part of the gap the budget showed, before anyone has paid.

PricingNext week's call

Euros or dollars?

A

The site shows the ladder in euros. On the call, euros were said at the start and the end, and dollars during the budget talk, so the currency is still open.

Options for decision 2

Why AProposal: the site already shows euros, so nothing has to change and nobody on the waiting list sees a new currency.

MembersNext week's call

Where do members meet online?

A

The leaning on the call was to start on GoHighLevel, where the Club already has an account set up, with doubts about engagement because new posts arrive as emails. Skool and Telegram were named as alternatives. The founders already talk in their own WhatsApp group.

Options for decision 3

Why AProposal: it was the leaning on the call, it is already set up, and it costs nothing new while the Club is small.

StructureBefore anything is set up

Is a nonprofit foundation plus a separate company the working direction?

A

The idea presented: the Club as a nonprofit foundation, with member shares in a separate commercial entity, because a foundation has no owners and cannot give shares. Creating the foundation was estimated at about 5k (4 to 6k, as said). The details are in the summary.

Options for decision 4

Why AProposal: the group agrees on a direction now, and nothing is set up or paid until the structure has been checked.

GrowthFounding phase

How does the Club grow in the founding phase?

A

The direction on the call, without a vote: grow through the founders' own people with invitations and referrals, build the branding and content, and no paid ads for the Club for now. The Club is meant to sell itself once more people are on board.

Options for decision 5

Why AProposal: it matches the direction on the call and the first-year budget, and quality comes before quantity.

FoundersNext weeks

How do we choose the next founders?

A

About twelve people are meant to form the core group that runs the Club. Four are in so far, and Simon joins next week. Each founder probably has 5 to 10 people in mind, and the group agrees on the names together.

Options for decision 6

Why AProposal: it is how the call described it, and the shared drive is already planned.

RhythmThis week

How often do the founders meet?

A

Another call next week is decided; a midweek day, Wednesday, was suggested. Pricing, the platform and the structure are all waiting for those calls.

Options for decision 7

Why AProposal: there are several open choices to settle while the founding group forms, and a fixed slot makes it easy for Simon and new founders to join.
